Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 30, 2026

Ronstech LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ImmigrApp mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store (bundle identifier com.ronstech.immigrapp) and on Google Play (application ID com.ronstech.immigrantguide). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our App.

By downloading, installing, or using ImmigrApp, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Device Information

We collect a unique device identifier using the device_info_plus plugin. This identifier is used solely as an anonymous user identifier to associate your quiz progress and preferences with your device. We do not link this identifier to any personally identifiable information.

1.2 Language and Country Preferences

When you select your preferred language (English, Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole) or country settings, these preferences are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences and synced to Firebase Firestore so your settings persist across sessions.

1.3 Quiz Progress and Statistics

Your quiz progress, scores, streak data, spaced repetition data, and statistics for the U.S. Citizenship Civics Quiz and the Florida Driver License Test are stored locally on your device and synced to Firebase Firestore. This data is associated with your anonymous device identifier and does not contain personally identifiable information.

1.4 Firebase Anonymous Authentication

We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a session for your device. This does not require or collect any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or password. An anonymous user ID is generated automatically by Firebase.

1.5 Location Data

If you use the Map feature to locate nearby Social Security Administration (SSA) offices or DMV offices in Florida, we request access to your device's GPS location. Location access is requested only when you use the map feature, and location data is used solely to show your proximity to office locations. We do not store, transmit, or share your precise location data with any third party. You may deny or revoke location permission at any time through your device settings.

1.6 Push Notification Token

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications, including daily practice reminders, streak warnings, and weekly summaries. When you grant notification permission, an FCM token is generated and stored to enable delivery of notifications to your device. You can disable notifications at any time through the App settings or your device settings.

1.7 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not directly collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, social media accounts, photographs, or any other personally identifiable information. The App does not offer third-party login or social login. The App offers optional in-app purchases (see Section 2.4); all payment processing is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and we never receive or store your payment card details.

2. Third-Party Services

2.1 Firebase (Google)

We use the following Firebase services provided by Google LLC:

  • Firebase Anonymous Authentication — to create anonymous user sessions.
  • Firebase Firestore — to store and sync quiz progress, preferences, and anonymous user data.
  • Firebase Analytics — to collect anonymized usage analytics, including app opens, screen views, and feature usage. Firebase Analytics may collect device information, operating system version, and general usage patterns. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging — to send push notifications.
  • Firebase Realtime Database and Firebase Storage — for content delivery.

Firebase services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

2.2 Google AdMob

The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. The AdMob SDK may collect and use certain data for the purpose of serving personalized or non-personalized advertisements, including but not limited to:

  • Device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID)
  • IP address
  • General location information (derived from IP address)
  • App usage data and interaction with advertisements
  • Device information (model, operating system, screen size)

Google AdMob's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You may opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device's advertising settings:

  • Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
  • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking (disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"), or Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising (disable "Personalized Ads")

2.3 Google Maps

The App uses Google Maps to display SSA and DMV office locations. Google Maps may collect location-related data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

2.4 RevenueCat (In-App Purchases)

The App offers optional in-app purchases that unlock premium study content and remove advertisements. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not collect or store your payment card information. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage and validate purchase entitlements. To do so, RevenueCat processes your store transaction identifiers and an anonymous app user identifier; it does not receive your name or payment card details. RevenueCat's data practices are governed by RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the App's features, including quiz functionality, progress tracking, and office locator
  • To save and sync your preferences and quiz progress across sessions
  • To deliver push notifications you have opted into (daily reminders, streak alerts, weekly summaries)
  • To display advertisements through Google AdMob
  • To analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve the App
  • To ensure the App functions properly on your device

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google), Google AdMob, and RevenueCat as described above. These services process data on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy policies.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

  • Quiz progress, preferences, and anonymous user data stored in Firebase Firestore are retained for as long as you use the App. If you uninstall the App, locally stored data is automatically deleted. Data stored in Firebase associated with your anonymous user ID may be retained on our servers.
  • Firebase Analytics data is retained in accordance with Google's default retention settings (currently 14 months for user-level data, with aggregate reporting retained indefinitely).
  • FCM tokens are automatically invalidated when you uninstall the App.

6. Data Deletion

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is generally no personal data to delete. However, if you wish to request deletion of any data associated with your anonymous device identifier, you may contact us at roniel.sanchez@ronstechnologies.com. We will process your request within thirty (30) days.

You may also delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect and store. Data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

ImmigrApp is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at roniel.sanchez@ronstechnologies.com.

9. Your Rights Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of information we have collected about you.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete any personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell personal information. Google AdMob may use device identifiers for personalized advertising, which may constitute "sharing" under the CPRA. You may opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings as described in Section 2.2.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at roniel.sanchez@ronstechnologies.com. We will respond to verifiable requests within forty-five (45) days.

10. International Users

ImmigrApp is operated from the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
